Central Heating Systems
I supply and fit hot water systems including vented and unvented cylinders, water heaters, and immersion heaters.
Central heating installation is one of the main areas of our work and something I personally enjoy. I can design the system for you, size the radiators correctly for each room, and select the best boiler for your heating and hot water needs. Here is some advice to help you through the maze of options available
Heating Systems – Conventional
Conventional Heating Systems can take up to an hour to heat a tank of water and are considered the least efficient types of heating system as heat while it circulates can be lost, not only from the boiler and the cylinder, but also from the connecting pipes.
Systems Boiler Heating Systems
System Boiler Heating Systems come in two types, vented low pressure and un-vented high pressure systems. Both require a Hot Water cylinder. Vented system boilers require a storage tank but installation is quicker and cheaper. Vented system boilers are also more economical to run. Un-vented system boilers remove the need for a feed and expansion tank.
Combi Boiler Heating Systems
Combi’s are now the most popular type of central heating boilers. Most Combi boilers run on mains pressure water and do not a tank in the loft. They instantly heat water when required. As they use the mains water supply you can create an effective power shower without the need for a pump.
Combi boilers require the least amount of plumbing and therefore are less expensive to install.
If you are unsure of which type of central heating system you already have or which type would be best for you just give me a call on the number below or contact me through the contact form.
Central Heating Controls
If you are thinking of replacing your standard efficiency boiler, it is worth considering upgrading your existing heating /hot water controls. This will ensure greater efficiency and comfort and can help to reduce fuel bills and save energy.
We are certified in part L of the Building Regulations and can offer advice on TRVs, wireless room thermostats, and 7-day programmers which will help bring your system up to current standards.
Power flushing of your central heating pipework keeps your heating system running efficiently and can prolong the life of your radiators. I offer a power flushing service for customers in across Greater London and if you would like to discuss the benefits of this, or arrange a quote, please get in touch.
